PA-POLYAMIDE

PA 6 is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic characterized by high toughness and versatility. Like all polyamides, PA 6 absorbs and releases moisture depending on environmental conditions. Through material modifications, a wide range of performance characteristics can be achieved. The polyamide family includes PA 6, PA 66, PA 11, PA 12, PA 610, PA 612, PA 46 and aromatic polyamides (both crystalline and amorphous), with PA 6 being one of the most commonly used grades.

PA 6 is frequently supplied in modified versions containing glass fiber, carbon fiber, oil or molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) to enhance specific mechanical and tribological properties.
